The Scamander Beach Resort Hotel in Tasmania’s beautiful Scamander is a large operation with a diverse range of visitors from corporates to tourists as well as locals. There are sixty rooms, a bottle shop, public bar, restaurant and conference centre. Keeping track of the various operations can be a chore but in the case of the Scamander Beach Resort Hotel, the Starfleet software package including the POS module manages the control of operations and book keeping very efficiently.
Matthew Gillow, Assistant Manager, and Yen Chang, Manager and Owner, certainly value the smooth operation of the Starfleet software. The business aspects which apart from the normal hotel operation require flexibility, for example special price offerings in areas like the bottle shop, have meant that Starfleet has been involved in a lot of ‘hand holding’ but it is this devotion to the very best standards in service levels that keeps Mathew Gillow very happy with Starfleet.

A Windows PC network is used with a server and six workstations. Starfleet software comprises Front Office, PABX Link, MYOB Link, and Debtors, as well as the integrated Starfleet Point of Sale software to three points.
