McLaren's on the Lake, South Australia
McLaren’s on the Lake, located in beautiful McLaren Vale, is a 4 star Hotel-Resort, as rated by South Australia’s R Automobile Association. There are 30 luxurious renovated hotel suites; a convention facility catering for as many as 400 people, a dining room, a café and the Serafino winery is also part of the complex.
Edward Borg-Barthet, General Manager has been in charge of McLaren’s on the Lake since 2000 and is only too aware of the importance of management systems. Edward explains that the Starfleet hotel management software is an essential ingredient in the efficient running of his Hotel Resort. “We find it extremely easy to operate, and this is proven by the fact that there are nine staff members who all have access to the system to check availability, bill status, etc”. Edward also points out that features such as the clear colour coding of guests-in-house, departing guests and future guests as well as its ready adaptability to point of sale systems are powerful advantages.
Technical back up, and the availability of frequent updates as new features are developed are an added boon for Starfleet software owners. Edward also sees the shared experience of Starfleet’s Australian installation base as one of the most important benefits for hotel-motel operators.
