The Benvenue Hotel and Motor Inn located in Timaru, NZ, caters to a demanding clientele, chiefly executives of large New Zealand corporations. The Benvenue comprises of thirty-one suites, a restaurant, bar and three conference rooms. It is the major accommodation facility and conference centre in the Timaru area, and had been owned and operated by Greg Lancaster and his wife for the last two years. A large portion of the booking is repeat business so that top level service has to be ‘lived’ at all times.
The Starfleet software is essential to the operation of the Benvenue and replaced older local software that lacked reservation facilities. Starfleet provides much more, having POS, telephone, back-and front-office modules in addition to the reservation system. Shortly the Benvenue Hotel and Motor Inn will have on-line reservation facilities—another great feature in terms of convenience. Greg Lancaster is well satisfied with the performance of the Starfleet software. Backup, on-line help and regular visits from Starfleet staff provide a very comfortable operating environment.
